Having recently been introduced to the excellent (imho) wbloggar tool, it seems that the website has been hacked and you now only get a blank page and a message if you view the source of the page.
Fortunately, the main filestructure of the site still exists so downloading the latest version of the tool is still possible. Click here to do so. Have fun. :)
Watch out you Dungeons & Dragons geeks, it may make you murderous!
I have just ordered myself one of these bad boys from Amazon. I just can’t stand being in a musicless working environment any more.
Ooooh yeah. I’ve just purchased me1 some tickets to the Basement Jaxx2 gig in Hyde Park, London on the 25th of June. This rates an 8.5 out of a possible 10 on the Excited-Splee-O-Meter. The Jaxx are awesome live.
I think I’m settling into my blogging stride. After the initial couple of months of posting frenzy I’m realising that keeping that pace up will be a killer and will probably give me ‘blog burnout’ a lot quicker than it should.
Besides, a post every 2 to 4 days isn’t bad really. Anyhoo, on with the show:
Statistical crazyness
I’ve been messing around with my stats plugin [BAStats] and found some odd things.
First on the agenda: Referring Search Terms.
I was surprised to see some of the search terms that had resulted in a hit to my site. Unsurprisingly, Splee is one of the most common search terms, although the fact that people are searching for my psudonym is odd in and of itself. I’m guessing that Splee is actually a name in some language/country or another, or it is an acronym of some software somewhere.
Running a very close second is the search term “bloodninja”. That is all due to one minipost with a link to the online-chat based escapades of the infamous bloodninja. Google rates me a little too highly I think.
Added into the melange are searches for ‘Dooce’ and ‘Escape from blogland’. Quite how I manage to turn up on those searches to the point where someone clicks through to my site instead of the original owner’s site is beyond me, but it happened.
Referring sites.
The top 10 is quite impressive. Almost all are links from other blogs (which is probably as it should be). The biggest surprise in that top 10 though was Wedge, as he was waxing lyrical about his low visitor count. Anyway, the list:
Colin, my conclusion from these results is that everyone wants to get off your page so badly that they’ll click any old rubbish. :P
Other stuff
Other stuff of interest to me:
Right, I’m off to do some work and find out how to browse the ‘net using an XBox.
