If you can’t stand the heat…

I know it’s been brought up before by many other people… here’s me jumping on the bandwagon:

My MacBook Pro runs very hot.

I don’t know if it’s within normal limits though, and I can’t find any real numbers out there on the interweb to either send me running for the hills or to put my mind at rest. Does anyone know the what the operating temperatures on one of these dual core bad boys should be?

At the moment I’m running at a steady 60% processor usage (I’m installing windows on Parallels) and my CoreDuoTemp.app is showing a steady 88-90 degrees C. I’m pretty certain that’s not healthy, but by what margin? What should the temperature be at under that kind of load?

I’ve also noticed that when the laptop gets that hot the wireless drops out every 30 seconds or so. At least, I think that the two events coincide.

Big Brother

In the past I’ve been vehement in my resolve to stay away from Big Brother. However, I’ve always caved half way through the series and started watching, if only to be able to hold a conversation with everyone else going nuts about the antics of the housemates.

So, this series, I’m getting into it from the start. I have a feeling I’m going to be horribly addicted, but that’s the price one pays for watching. I’m even pre-emptively creating a Big Brother category.

I have to say, I’m terribly dissapointed that Shibaz is one of the leaders of “The Big Brotherhood” as he’s exempt from evictions this week. That dude has to go, pronto. Most. Annoying. Bloke. Ever. And I use the term “bloke” loosely.

Return from (blogging) oblivion

I’ve not posted in a long time… and I have my reasons. Among them are the fact that I got a bit bored with blogging and I got very busy with life in general.

I also got despondant about my design, which always makes me want to visit my own site less.

I might be back on this full time again, or I might just get equally as bored as I was previously. Either way, at least I’ve posted something ;)
